Works on Paper:

LAND MARKS & TRACKS & TRACES

What Fredericks calls Land Marks and Tracks and Traces began as a series of sketchbook drawing of images seen from above; marks left on the land by humans and other natural forces. These drawings and prints of arial topography reveal the artist’s invented vocabulary of marks as they meet the markings of the land and the human marks we leave upon it, simultaneously suggesting maps as indicators of place and subtle tracings of experience.
